Connected Corridors

The city is underway with a robust connected vehicle corridor deployment. To date, 14 traffic signals within the region have been instrumented with Dedicated Short Range Communications (DSRC) radios. Our experience includes the installation, inspection and integration of the data into our regional traffic system. The city is developing a network of connected corridors within our Innovation District for deployment of Connected Autonomous Vehicles (CAVS). The roadways include Main and Fourth streets, Stewart, Bonneville and Clark avenues and Casino Center Boulevard. The connected corridor project is underway and will install 24 additional DSRC radios in the downtown Innovation District again using our significant fiber optic investment. This project will provide a solid backbone for the safe assessment of CAVs, that use this area as a proving ground, and offers the capability of monitoring the performance of various technology deployments. < Back to all
