The 2018 finalists, which include the City ofLas Vegas for the first time, are working to create e-government platforms,digitize transportation and make data easier to use and more accessible.  The City is vying for one of five grantsavailable against Albuquerque, N.M.; Aurora, Ill.; Birmingham, Ala.; Cary,N.C.; Fairfax County, Va.; Los Angeles; Las Vegas; Louisville-Jefferson County,Ky.; and the State of Virginia. The winners of the grants will receivementoring, a workshop city tailored to their specific needs and products andservices from Smart Cities Council partners.
